Hi, i’m sue

Around twelve years ago I discovered the wonderful world of bookbinding when I signed up for my first workshop. My love of books in all their forms and my love of sewing came together perfectly and I was hooked!

My materials are responsibly sourced and I love working with beautiful, tactile, sustainable cork, decorative papers and fabrics, including bio-washed linen and upcycled kimono silks.

Each book is a labour of love and it’s fascinating and incredibly pleasing to hear how people choose to use my books, from writers and artists to gardeners, bee keepers and mixologists!

I live within walking distance of the beautiful city of Cambridge, which has been my home for 40 years. My children have all flown the nest and the next generation is keeping me busy. Being a granny is such a delight and I can’t wait to teach my grandchildren how to create their own beautiful books!

Oh, and in case you hadn’t guessed, my favourite colour is green!

Thank you for visiting!
